Houseleggers
Newlyweds and guests on the dancefloor of an elegant Belgian wedding hosted by the Houseleggers DJs

Wedding DJ — Belgium · Provence · Switzerland · Italy · Spain · Portugal

Fifteen years of dancefloors and one conviction: wedding music is composed, not improvised. One DJ, or two on the decks if the format calls for it — never more. Brussels, Walloon Brabant, Wallonia and Flanders — and wherever you take your guests: we work as a destination wedding DJ in Provence, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal, with our own setup in the cases.

Our approach

No two weddings are alike — so no two of our sets are either. Before your date, we sit down with you properly: the tracks that tell your story, the ones your families love, and the ones you never want to hear.

From that conversation we build a tailor-made musical arc: the songs that matter, with room left to read the room and change course if your guests pull us somewhere better. On the day itself, music is the one thing you will never think about.

And if you are marrying far from Belgium — a mas in Provence, an estate on a Swiss lake, a villa in Italy, a finca in Spain or a quinta in Portugal — nothing about the method changes. We drive or fly out with our gear, settle the technical side with the venue in advance, and your guests get exactly the night we designed together.

01

The meeting

A detailed questionnaire, then a real conversation — in Waterloo, over video call or at your venue — to map your taste, your guests and what you want to hear.

02

The tailor-made arc

Your must-plays and your do-not-play list, woven into a progression built for your crowd and signed off together.

03

The big day

We arrive early and set up before your guests, coordinate with the venue, the caterer and the planner, test the microphones and calibrate the system to the room.

Our commitments

No imposed running order, no script: the day is yours. Here is what we guarantee.

Everything is prepared upfront

Questionnaire, meeting, musical arc signed off with you before your date. Nothing is left to improvisation on the day.

We do the coordinating

We speak directly to your venue, your caterer and your wedding planner. You never have to relay a message.

The equipment is included

Professional sound sized for your room, elegant dancefloor lighting, wireless mics for your speeches and clean cabling. You rent nothing.

Volume is a craft

Sound calibrated for your room and its noise limiter: the floor stays full, your guests can still hear each other, and the power never cuts out.

One wedding per date

Yours. We never stack two events on the same day, and your date is locked the moment the deposit lands.

A set built for your crowd

Your must-plays played, your banned list respected to the letter, and the room read for everything else. We mix — we never take the microphone.

DJ + live performers

A wedding is also lived live. Over the DJ set, we can bring in artists who play on the mix: saxophone, violin, vocals, percussion or an MC. They are partner musicians — the vocals and the live playing come from them, while we stay on the decks. Each one performs on recognised stages, shown as a mark of standing, to give your evening the extra emotion a set alone does not always bring.

Frequently asked

What couples ask us

How much does a wedding DJ cost in Belgium?

Most of our weddings land between €1,200 and €2,500, depending on the venue, the sound required and the lighting you want. Every quote is personalised and itemised line by line — ask for yours, it is free and without obligation.

How long do you play for?

The duration is agreed upfront and written into your quote, based on your venue and its rules. On the night we stay as long as the floor is alive: if you want to extend, the decision is yours and the terms are already fixed in the quote. No surprises, no mid-party negotiation.

Do you handle the venue's noise limiter?

Yes, and it is a craft in itself. More and more Belgian venues impose a limiter (85, 90 or 95 dB) that cuts the power when you cross it. We ask for the threshold beforehand, calibrate the system to it and shape the dynamics of the set so the floor stays full without ever tripping the cut-off.

Do you play in Flanders and across Belgium?

Yes. We play across Belgium — Brussels, Walloon Brabant, Namur, Liège, but equally Antwerp, Ghent, Leuven, Knokke and the coast. The set naturally suits bilingual weddings: the music speaks to every family, without us ever needing a microphone.

Do you travel abroad?

Yes, regularly — destination weddings are an active part of our diary. We play in Switzerland, Italy, Provence, Spain and Portugal, and we travel with our own setup. The preparation is identical to a Belgian wedding: meeting, musical arc, then direct coordination with your venue and your planner on site about power, any noise limiter and what the venue already provides. Travel costs — transport, freight for the gear, accommodation where needed — are stated in the quote, line by line: nothing appears afterwards.

Do you take the mic and host the party?

No. We are DJs, not hosts: no announcements, no games, no commentary. We stay behind the decks and let your party breathe. We do provide wireless microphones if you, your family or your celebrant want to speak.

Do you offer live musicians with the DJ?

Yes. On top of the DJ set, we can bring in live artists who play over the mix — saxophone, violin, vocals, percussion and an MC. They are partner musicians: the vocals and the live playing come from them, while we stay on the decks. Each one performs on recognised stages, shown as a mark of standing. It is a premium option to flag in your quote, to give your evening an extra layer of emotion.

How do we book our date?

Send us the date, the venue and the guest count: you get an answer within 24 hours with our availability and a detailed proposal. Once you confirm, the date is held — we only take one wedding per day, and we never stack two events.

Can we meet you and personalise the playlist?

It is the heart of our method. A meeting is included — over video call, over coffee in Waterloo or Brussels, or at your venue. You give us your must-plays and your banned list; we build the arc around them. A banned track will never be played, even if a guest insists.

Do you bring sound, lighting and microphones?

We arrive complete: professional sound sized for your room, an additional system for outdoor spaces, dancefloor lighting, wireless mics for your speeches and clean cabling. You rent nothing and coordinate nothing.

How many DJs turn up on the day?

One, or two if the format calls for it — never more. The collective counts three DJs, but a wedding is played by one or two of us: that is the useful maximum for keeping a single musical line across the whole night. The format is agreed with you in the quote, and the DJ who meets you is the DJ who plays.

How do you hold a crowd aged 7 to 77?

By reading the room, not by running a “wedding playlist”. We watch who is dancing, who is sitting down, when the average age of the floor shifts — and we adjust the next track. Fifteen years of clubs, galas and festivals taught us how to make the classics everyone knows live alongside the house that keeps the younger guests to the end, without emptying the floor in between.
